The Shard by night – London, April 2013
Isn’t it funny how we sometimes fail to appreciate what’s right in front of us? I have spent so much time recently admiring foreign skylines in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai that I sometimes forget that London has it’s own awesome skyline. This is The Shard, London’s tallest building viewed from across the Thames, with beautifully lit Southwark Bridge in the foreground.

A beautiful shot. I like the colourful lights on the bridge. Adds to the picture

Thank you! And yes, the bridge makes the shot, both in terms of balancing the verticals, and providing a splash of colour 🙂

So have you been up it yet?
Jeanne says
So I take it you did not click on the link in this post taking you straight to my post where I talked about going up it??? Quelle horreur! ;o)

I like cities best at night. They seem their most approachable then. What a beautiful glimpse of London. 🙂
Jeanne says
I love the way that cities are totally transformed by night! All the ugly bits are hidden and they look as twinkly as a Christmas tree 🙂

Nice colors and view!
