At The Top, Burj Khalifa – Dubai, September 2013
I’m a sucker for a tall building. So when I am in the city which contains the world’s tallest building, there’s no question that I will go up it! At 160 floors, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is currently the tallest building in the world, although the observation deck, At The Top, is only on the 124th floor. Still, this makes it almost twice as high up as the observation deck at London’s The Shard| and just over 20 floors higher than the Empire State Building‘s observation deck. The view down to the fountains at the Dubai Mall is enthralling, as are the interactive telescopes with their historic view which show you just how much building has occurred in Dubai in the past decade or so.

Isn’t it just?? Also, less gloomy weather than the day we went up The Shard (but the same cool interactive telescopes!)

Stunning view. Even at Floor 124 its dizzy for me. Just imaging how one will feel at the top.
Jeanne says
LOL I know! Best not to think about it too hard. The lift only took like 60 seconds to get to the top, so 2 floors per second!! Freaky.

*gulp* I can’t even imagine being that high in a building

I certainly puts UPE’s (sorry, NMMU’s) admin building to shame.. 😉
