Public art, La Defense – Paris, June 2012
La Defense is a 560 hectare modern business district on the western edge of Paris. Started in the late 1950s, today it houses no fewer than 3.5 million square metres of office space, 1,500 corporate headquarters and an impressive open-air collection of diverse public art. One of the works is the rainbow-like Cheminée Moretti, a 32m tower of coloured tubes by the artist Raymond Moretti, pictured here at an unusual angle.
