Christmas wreaths, Gothenburg – December 2011
If the idea of a Christmas market fills you with dread, then you clearly have not yet been to the Haga Christmas market in Gothenburg, Sweden. Stalls line the streets of picturesque clapboard houses, carollers sing merrily, mugs of glögg are cradled, head-sized cinnamon buns are consumed, and there is even a seasonal marching band and troupe of drum majorettes. Merchandise is beautifully designed, utterly desirable, and totally Swedish – like these gorgeous wreaths.

Every year I swear that I shall make a wreath, and I never ever do. Seeing this one makes me realise that possibly it might be easier just to buy one?
