Boat reflections, Corfu, Greece – September 2011
I expected Greece to be beautiful – but I never realised just how easy it would be to point your camera in a random direction and capture something lovely in the viewfinder. From ther aquamarine seawater washing over the white pebble beaches; to the gnarled trunks and silver-grey leaves of the abundant olive trees; to the bunches of cerise bougainvilla flowers cascading over garden walls; to the colourful reflections on the almost viscous, calm water of the Mediterranean. Everywhere I looked there was something to catch my eye – like this pleasure boat, moving through the calm sea preceded by its own reflection. I love it when you can just point your camera any direction and take a photo. My trip to the Drakensberg was like that. Looking at the photos so far I have to agree that Greece is such a place.

Greece is simply heavenly. Being one of the world’s first ‘civilized’ country, you can expect the remains of the temples still beautiful over the years.
