Hi and welcome to my blog! I have been toying with the idea of starting one for a while – I was introduced to blogs by my friend Sally – not a food blogger but I think she can be persuaded – and got hooked on blogs due to Adam at Amateur Gourmet and Jeremy at Frost Street. But what finally persuaded me to get moving was the fact that I desperately wanted to participate in the monthly blog event “Is My Blog Burning” – so here it finally is – my blog!
I won’t bore you with my personal details (yet!) – just to fill you in on the basics, I am a South African and a lawyer by training and a lecturer by inclination. I am living in London with my husband (also South African) and have been here on and off since April 2000. I have got into the habit of writing a 5-page newsletter home every week and you will probably see excerpts from that appearing here – what I’ve seen, where I’ve been and, usually, a lovesong to London. You will probably also see some travelogue postings when we get a chance to nip across the Channel, and when I go digital, I will be posting some photos. But principally I intend this to be a food blog – where I’ve eaten and drunk, what I’ve cooked, what I’ve discovered lately. I will try to do a couple of posts a week so please do check back regularly and feel free to comment on anything I say.
Happy reading!

Hi Jeanne
This looks interesting. However, seeing that you mentioned chicken ala king you’ve got to supply the recipe – for what it’s worth!!
Keep the email newsletters coming. We love reading them.
Cheers
Greg
