Thandi – Birds of Eden, South Africa
Her name was Thandi and she was a Solomon Eclectus parrot who had been a pet but was now living in the spectacular Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight aviary in the world. She fell in love with my father as soon as she set eyes on him and made it her business to get as close to him as possible for the duration of our visit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him more enchanted – thank you Thandi.
