Driftwood on Robberg Beach, Plettenberg Bay – February 2008
I have been coming to Plettenberg Bay and walking on Robberg Beach since I was about four years old. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and the one place I know where I will always find solace from all that is troubling me.
The 6 kilometre stretch of golden sand is bounded on the one side by the Robberg Peninsula nature reserve, home to colony of over 5,000 Cape fur seals; and on the other by the spectacular Beacon Island Hotel (visible on the horizon above the driftwood).
And why am I posting such a sunny South African picture? Because by the time you read this… that’s where I will be for a 2-week break! .
