Well, I’m still in Dubai but I’m afraid there’s just toooo much to do to have time to blog!! You will just ave to wait till I get home tomorrow to hear more…
Just to give you an idea, Sunday we shopped in one of the malls near here (Lamcy Plaza ) and then by means that I still don’t fully understand, Paul persuaded me to go on a dune safari. You know, dune-bashing in 4x4s and then a barbecue under the stars in the desert??? Pretty much the last thing I thought I’d enjoy! But it was AWESOME!
Then yesterday I went off to the public beach right by the Burj Al Arab hotel to take some photos and to swim in the deliciously warm and calm waters of the Persian gulf. Then it was back to the mall for a couple of hours and then back to Dubai Creek for some great photos of the dockside action followed by a stroll through the souk again as the evening call for prayer sounded. And then last night, being my last night, we treated ourselves to a dinner cruise on Dubai Creek which met and surpassed every expectation I ever had.
